(CBS 5 NEWS) – A 19-month-old girl died
after being left by her Aunt in a car for hours
near 34th Street and McDowell.
The Aunt brought the toddler with her when
she took the mother to work. On the way home she
got distracted and forgot the baby was in
the car and instead went home and went to
sleep. Hours later she noticed the baby was
missing.
The core temperature of the baby
was 107 degrees. Temperatures in cars during the
summer can get up to 160 degrees.
Phoenix Fire Department has responded to 353
