POLICE WERE called to a Dixwell Avenue pharmacy on a complaint of two small children left unattended in a parked car Jan. 3 at 10:18 a.m.

Investigation led to the arrest of Ingrid Pastor, 29, of 89 Mulberry Hill St., who reportedly left her two children, ages 2 and two months, inside the car while she "ran in to get a few things," police said.

Pastor explained that the children were sleeping, and she didn't want to disturb them.

She was charged with leaving children unsupervised and was released on a promise to appear (PTA) in court Jan. 13.
