Baby Left In Hot Car Dies, Police Say
BROWARD COUNTY,
Fla. --
The father of a baby left in a hot car over the weekend is
charged with manslaughter after the infant died.
Broward Sheriff Office deputies say the father, Antonio Balta
(pictured), 27, a groom at Gulfstream Park, left the baby in a parked car
at the track Saturday.
Temperatures inside the car were too hot for the child. The baby
was rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital, but it was too late.
Balta is now being held without bail at the Broward County Jail.
