DETROIT, 10:11 a.m. EDT May 2, 2001-- A local woman could lose her children because she left them in the car while she went shopping -- and the car caught fire while she was gone.
Ursula Brown faces neglect charges for leaving her 9-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter in the car while she went into a westside Detroit store Monday night.
While Brown was in the store, her daughter started playing with the car's cigarette lighter.
Her brother saved their lives.
