BABY BECOMES CARJACKING VICTIM
Police Arrest Two Teenagers

Published March 29, 2001

(KSDK) An infant became the unwitting victim of a carjacking in south St. Louis this morning. It's a familiar story. Police say the baby's mother left the family car running with the baby in it and, carjackers seized the opportunity.

It's believed the baby's mother left her vehicle outside the home of a babysitter while she went inside to pick up another child. Police say two 15 year old boys then jumped in the car and drove away.

Police say when the suspects realized a baby was in the vehicle, they dropped off the infant at a nearby home.

The baby was found in good condition and returned to her mother. The juveniles could face charges of endangering a child as well as carjacking.Stay logged on to ksdk.com for more updates on this story, as they become available.
