TOWN OF ULSTER - A 29-year-old Tannersville woman was accused Thursday of leaving her 2-year-old daughter alone in a car in freezing temperatures.
Andrea Zapletalove was charged with misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child about 11:20 a.m., town police said. Her daughter had been left in a vehicle parked at the Hudson Valley Mall for between 20 and 30 minutes, with the temperature outside hovering around 22 degrees, police said, who added that the child was OK.
Town officers went to the mall after getting a call from security guards reporting that a child was left unattended in a vehicle. Police found the child in the car with no adult around. A short time later, Zapletalove came back to her car.
Zapletalove is expected to appear in Ulster Town Court on Jan. 21. İDaily Freeman 2003
