LIMA, Ohio, 12:46 p.m. EST March 19, 2001 -- Two Lima children were safe after their family's car was stolen on Moday while the two were sleeping in the back seat.

Allen County sheriff's authorities say the children were left in the car with the engine running while their parents looked at a car for sale Sunday.

Major Larry VanHorn says a man had taken the car, and it was spotted by helicopter about an hour later in a store parking lot. The 7-year-old girl and her 3-year-old brother were unharmed and still asleep.

VanHorn says the car was still running.

No arrest has been made.

Authorities haven't released the children's names.
