A ten-month-old baby was left in a locked
car, with the windows rolled up, on the northwest side on Wednesday.
Her mom was shopping at the HEB at West Avenue and Loop 410.
It was about 85-degrees outside. Inside the car where the baby
was trapped, it was probably closer to 105-degrees.
Now 22-year-old Ikima Hosang, a San Antonio College student, is
in jail.
Hosang's baby girl is alright and now in the custody of Child
Protective Services.
But it took a small army of HEB shoppers to keep Hosang from
driving away from the scene of the crime.
"We told her you are not leaving, you are not doing this ever
again. We just stood in front of her car, we were not going to let
her leave," said Joanne Solis.
Hosang now faces a child endangerment charge.
CPS will determine if Hosang is a fit mother, and whether she
deserves to keep her baby.
