Co-Founders, Tammy Russell and Laura Petersen are certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians

CPS Technicians and Instructors put their knowledge to work through a variety of activities, including child safety seat checks where parents and caregivers receive education and hands-on assistance with the proper use of child restraint systems and safety belts.

Certification Course

The national standardized child passenger safety technician certification course is usually four to five days long and combines classroom instruction, hands-on work with car seats and vehicles, and a community safety seat checkup event, where students demonstrate proper use and installation of child restraints and safety belts and then teach these skills to parents. Successful completion of this course certifies the individual as a CPS technician for two years. This certification is only valid for practice in the United States and its territories and on non-domestic U.S. military installations.
